Android phones tend to ignore notifications when the app is closed if certain system settings are not set correctly.
Please follow the steps outlined in this article to make sure you receive notifications from FrontPage:
Android version 6.0.1 (Battery Optimization)
- From the app drawer, tap Settings.
- Select Battery.
- Tap the 3 dots Overflow menu icon and choose Battery Optimization.
- Tap the downward caret and choose All apps.
- Tap FrontPage, then tap Don’t optimize.
Android version 9 (Pie, Adaptive Battery)
For devices running Android version 9, make sure the Adaptive Battery feature is not preventing FrontPage from sending you notifications:
- From the app drawer, tap Settings.
- Select Battery.
- Choose Adaptive Battery.
- Tap Restricted apps, and make sure FrontPage is not listed. If it is listed, turn OFF the button next to it.
Please click on your device brand below to see device-specific settings (Required)
If your device brand is not listed above, just do a Google search with your device brand name e.g. if you have a Sony device, google “sony android notifications not working”.
