Fixing Android notifications on OnePlus devices

These steps are for fixing notifications on OnePlus devices. These settings may be different depending the version of Oxygen OS on your device so please read through all the options mentioned below.

OnePlus (Android 7.0 and earlier)

For system versions earlier than Android 8.0 Oreo, ensure that FrontPage is set to auto-launch:

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Tap the  gear icon in the top right.
  4. Select App Autolaunch.
  5. Toggle FrontPage to enable.

OnePlus (Android 8.0 and later)

Step 1: Check that app storage is set to clear normally

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Advanced.
  3. Select Recent apps management.
  4. Ensure that Normal clear is enabled.

Step 2: Exclude FrontPage from battery optimization

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Battery, then Battery Optimization.
  3. Tap Apps not optimized and select All apps.
  4. Find FrontPage and ensure it’s set to Don’t optimize.

OnePlus 3

Adjust your battery optimization to allow notifications from FrontPage when it’s running in the background:

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Battery.
  3. Select Battery Optimization.
  4. Tap the  Overflow menu in the top right of that screen.
  5. Select Advanced Optimization.
  6. Toggle FrontPage to OFF.

If you did not find the options above, try this:

  1. Go to System Settings > Battery > Menu > Aggressive Doze & App Hibernation
  2. In the list title “Optimized”, scroll down to FrontPage and Turn ON the buttons next to it.

Next check these steps:

  1. Go to System Settings > Battery > Menu > High Power Usage apps
  2. If FrontPage is shown here, disable it.

Also do this:

  1. Go to System Settings > Advanced > Recent App Management
  2. Select Normal Clear, not Deep Clear as show in the picture below:
  3. Make sure normal clear is selected, not Deep clear.

     

 

 

 

 

Fixing Android notifications on Xiaomi devices

For Xiaomi phones, branded as “Redmi”.

Two things need to be done:

  • A. Battery Optimizations needs to be turned off
  • B. Auto start needs to be set (if applicable depending in your operating system version)

A. Turn OFF Battery Optimization for FrontPage

For XIAOMI – MIUI v7/v8, you may need the following steps:

4. Now locate FrontPage from the list of Installed App.

5. Select “No restrictions” and “Allow”

B. Enable Auto Start for FrontPage

For a different version of operating system on Redmi devices, the screens may look like the following:

For MIUI v7 or v8 please follow this flow:

4. Now locate FrontPage from the list of apps and TURN ON the button next to it. That’s it.

 

Fixing Android notifications on OPPO devices

Settings vary across various Oppo devices and versions of operating system.

A. Turn OFF Battery Optimization for FrontPage

If the above options are not there on your device, try these:

  1. Go to Settings > Battery and Storage > Battery Manager > Power consumption details > Optimize for excessive power consumption.
  2. Uncheck FrontPage

If you don’t have the above, try this:

  1. Go to Settings > System Notifications > System Notifications > System Notifications
  2. Scroll to FrontPage and Turn ON the button next to it.

If you don’t find the options above try this:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Advanced > Ignore battery optimizations
  2. Scroll to FrontPage and Turn ON

B. Add FrontPage to Startup Manager

  1. Go to SettingsSecurity CenterPrivacy PermissionsStartup manager
  2. Scroll down to Start-up apps disallowed
  3. Scroll down to FrontPage and switch on the button next to it.

If you don’t find Startup Manager in settings, search for an app called Phone Manager on your device.

  1. Launch Phone Manager app > Privacy Permissions > Startup Manager > FrontPage
  2. Switch on the button next to FrontPage

C. Enable notification Priority if you don’t get the sound

If you don’t find the options above, try this:

  1. Go to Settings > Notification panel & status bar > Notification center
  2. Find FrontPage and then activate “Allow notifications” and also “Priority display“.

How to fix notifications on Android

Android phones tend to ignore notifications when the app is closed if certain system settings are not set correctly.

Please follow the steps outline in this article to make sure you receive notifications from FrontPage:

Android version 6.0.1 (Battery Optimization)

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Select Battery.
  3. Tap the 3 dots Overflow menu icon and choose Battery Optimization.
  4. Tap the downward caret and choose All apps.
  5. Tap FrontPage, then tap Don’t optimize.

Android version 9 (Pie, Adaptive Battery)

For devices running Android version 9, make sure the Adaptive Battery feature is not preventing FrontPage from sending you notifications:

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Select Battery.
  3. Choose Adaptive Battery.
  4. Tap Restricted apps, and make sure FrontPage is not listed. If it is listed, turn OFF the button next to it.

Please click on your device brand below to see device specific settings (Required)

If your device brand is not listed above, just do a Google search with your device brand name e.g. if you have a Sony device, google “sony android notifications not working”.
